Our Activities
Services -
Our main worship services are on Sundays at 10.45 a.m. and at 6.30 p.m.  You will find people of all ages at our services - from toddlers to over-90s, and the morning service includes facilities and activities for children and babies.
We celebrate communion during our services on the first Sunday morning of every month and the third Sunday evening of every month.
One morning service every month is a special “all-age” service with the participation of people of all ages - from the youngest to the oldest.  This is normally, but not exclusively, on the third Sunday of the month.
From time to time, there are services at other days and times.
Our “Upper room” is open for prayer for half an hour before each morning service.

Members meetings are normally held bi-monthly on a Wednesday.  These are the meetings for members of the church when we seek God’s way forward together as a membership.

Other activities which are open to all comers -

Home groups meet at various locations and on various days midweek, to pray together, study the Bible together, and enjoy each other’s company.  If you would like to join a home group, contact us.
Prayer meetings are held on a Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.at the church, when there is not a members’ meeting or home groups,  with various focus agendas, such as missionary activities.  There is a regular monthly missionary prayer meeting at the house of one of our members.  There is also a prayer breakfast at 7.30 a.m. at the church on the first Saturday of each month.
Youth groups meet at various times - see our Youth Activities page.
Tools with a Mission is an imaginative way of helping people in developing countries by recycling unwanted tools, refurbishing them and sending them to people in developing countries so that they can earn a living.  A workshop meets at a local venue fortnightly on Tuesday mornings.  If you are interested in this, contact us.
The Pen and Sword Group meets locally, monthly, to pray about social issues and also to take action in the form of writing to people or organisations that make decisions.
The Create Group meets for arts and crafts on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the church.
The Contact Lunch is open for anyone to join us at the church for an affordable lunch at 12.30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
The Scrabble Club meets on the second Saturday of each month at the church at 2.30 p.m. in the spring and summer (10 a.m. when the days are shorter and darker) to play Scrabble.

"The church should be known not for a million wagging fingers, but for two million arms outstretched" - Rev Joel Edwards
We are a people of hope, seeking to share that hope with others, in 2008 and beyond!
Many thousands of churches are uniting across the UK to reach their local communities with acts of kindness and generosity to transform these communities. We are also participating in this initiative, working alongside St Giles (Anglican), the other church in the village of Kilmington.
In May we shall be seeking to highlight the recycling opportunities in the locality and encourage the local council to do even more.
In June we hope to offer a free low-energy light bulb to every home in our local village
In August we will be present at the Kilmington show and finding a way to bless showgoers there
In Autumn we shall be seeking to present another free gift to every home in Kilmington.
Part of our continuing ministry is to offer free advice to anyone needing it on money and debt problems.  Contact us or you can visit several web sites giving help and advice. Red2Black is part of the Hope 2008 initiative. Christians Against Poverty and Credit Action are two Christian organisations giving practical help in managing money and getting out of debt problems. The Consumer Credit Counselling Service is another organisation offering help - their freephone number is 0800 027 4995
